Alif Analytics (“we”, “us”, or “our”) built ByteBrief: AI & Tech News as a free application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By using ByteBrief, you agree to the terms of this policy.
This policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Google Play Store Developer Program Policies, and applicable international privacy laws.

ByteBrief is a free app supported by advertising. Our ad partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your interests and activity.

- Within the app: Settings → Privacy → Ad Preferences
Note: Opting out does not remove ads — it makes them non-personalised.

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”) — request deletion of your personal data

- Account data: retained until account deletion is confirmed (within 7 days of request)
- Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised after 14 months (Google Analytics default)
- Log data: deleted within 90 days
- Comments: deleted upon account deletion unless they are part of a public discussion thread
8. Children’s Privacy
ByteBrief is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at alifanalytics001@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure server infrastructure, access controls and authentication, and regular security reviews.
However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your information to the best of our ability.

Your information may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where we transfer data outside the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved mechanisms.
